The CME is in the process of migrating from one frame relay cloud to a larger, more robust frame relay cloud. Included in this rather large migration process is a plan to move all communications and the TOPS application to a new Tandem processor. We intend to disconnect the existing Tandem processor about November 1, 2000.

The new blueprint for communications does not include supporting leased line/modem configurations. As a result, all TOPS firms that continue to communicate via leased line/modem are urged to convert all workstations to FIN connections as soon as possible.

Firms with an existing FIN connection (for Clearing 21) can piggyback their TOPS connections through the same conduit.

Firms without a FIN connection should immediately contact Karen McCoy, Systems Liaison Manager at (312) 930-4524, to inquire about ordering circuits, routers, etc. (Please do not delay � there is at least a 6 week lead time for circuits required.)
